Koji overview

Thank you for installing Koji, the сhatbot for Jira Service Management! It automates your service desk and helps users with everyday tasks.

This page describes the first steps of getting familiar with Koji and its functionalities.

Backoffice

Once installed, Koji is ready to go. Let’s go to the back office to see what you can do now.

The back office is the place for managing Koji. You can fine-tune the behavior of your chatbot, study analytics, configure your data sources, and manage your users.

To open the back office:

  1. Switch to the corresponding project in your Jira environment: Click Projects in the navigation menu on the left and expand the project where you installed Koji.

  2. Then, click Koji backoffice to access Koji.

For more information on the backoffice functionalities, see the Koji backoffice chapter and view the Koji overview tutorial.

Publishing the chat

By default, the chat is not displayed in your portal. Once you have customized the settings, you can publish the chat on your portal so that people can start communicating with Koji.

Learn how to enable the chat on your portal by reading the Display the chatbot in the portal section on the Koji settings page.

Setting up your data sources

One of Koji’s features involves searching a designated Confluence data source to provide answers to users. As such, you will need to configure an Atlassian connection and an Atlassian Confluence data source that contains the relevant knowledge for answering users' queries.

  • The connection can be set up by going to Configuration > Connections.

  • The data source can be set up by going to Content > Data sources.
